Liverpool-based four-piece Pink Footage have dropped their debut single, ‘Stuck’. It’s a crooked track, with angular riffs and warped spoken word passages that emerged from collaborative, experimental full-band writing sessions. Their crunchy songwriting is underpinned by modern post-punk rhythms that perfectly wrap the track in a claustrophobic shell. “It’s about stagnation: personal, romantic, artistic,” the band say. “It’s the suffocating feeling of routine calcifying around you as time gets faster, and feeling that urge to tear everything up.” Pink Footage is made up of ex-Elevant members, and will be dropping more impressive music over the coming months. -Dan Peeke
